Common Ground is moving to Hudson Square

May 16, 2019

My sculpture Common Ground is moving to Hudson Square in downtown Manhattan! In order to fit its new sidewalk location I reconfigured the structure to an 8x3 grid (instead of the original 5x5 grid). This public art installation is presented by the New York City Department of Transportation’s Urban Art Program in partnership with the Hudson Square BID, with support from Hudson Square Properties.

Common Ground was originally commissioned by the NYC Parks Department as part of the Art in the Parks: UNIQLO Park Expressions Grant for Rufus King Park in Jamaica, Queens from June 2017 – June 2018. It was moved to The Aldrich Contemporary Art Museum in Ridgefield, CT from June – November 2018. And now you can visit it at its new Hudson Square home on King St (between Greenwich and Hudson St) until Dec 2019!
